Literatur als „Ort der Metapher“ im DaF-Unterricht

Der Beitrag will aufzeigen, dass literarische Texte im DaF-Unterricht nicht nur die Möglichkeit bieten, mehrere (oder alle) Fertigkeiten gleichzeitig zu schulen, und „der Sache der Grammatik“ förderlich sind, sondern dass diese gerade als Orte der Metapher zur Entwicklung der sprachlichen Bewusstheit und darüber hinaus zur Reflexion der Konstruiertheit und Subjektivität der Weltwahrnehmung beitragen. Die Metapher wird dabei nicht nur als Stilmittel, sondern im Sinne der kognitiven Metapherntheorie als anthropologisch grundlegende Konzeptualisierungsstrategie aufgefasst. Abschließend wird eine Aufgabentypologie für das Schulen der metaphorischen Bewusstheit anhand literarischer Texte im DaF-Unterricht vorgestellt.

The purpose of this article is to show that the use of literary texts in teaching German as a foreign language not only offers the opportunity to train several (or all) language skills simultaneously and is helpful “for the purposes of grammar”, but that literary texts also – as places of metaphor – facilitate the enhancement of language awareness as well as the understanding of the constructedness and subjectivity of our perception of the world. The use of metaphors is here understood not only as a stylistic device, but also – following the cognitive theory of metaphor – as a basic anthropological strategy of conceptualisation. In conclusion, the article presents a typology of tasks aimed at training metaphor awareness on the basis of literary texts in the teaching of German as a foreign language.
